The first stage of Business-Friendly Howell -- an initiative led by the Community Development Committee of the Howell Chamber with cooperation and support from the City of Howell and the Howell Downtown Development Authority --launches Thursday, May 17 at the Howell Opera House.
Business owners and management, building owners, realtors and developers who do business or would like to do business within the City of Howell are requested to attend one of seven 90-minute focus groups throughout the day. Participants will be asked to share impressions and experiences of the city's business climate. The goal is to help implement improvement in specific areas, if needed.
Sessions will be led by a neutral facilitator. In order to gather valuable information, no city or chamber representatives will participate in the sessions.
Thursday, May 17 schedule for business sessions: Stakeholder Group Time
Manufacturing companies/large employers 11:30 a.m.
Real estate and development representatives 1:30 p.m.
City businesses outside of the DDA area 3:30 p.m.
All commercial/industrial building owners 5:30 p.m.
Final open session for any business person 7:30 p.m.
