Traffic and Handicapped Parking - Alternate Traffic Map
The City of Howell Police Department has designated alternate traffic routes to guide motorists around the parade route (click to open the map above), and following the parade, traffic lights will be timed to facilitate the flow of traffic exiting town. Public handicapped parking spaces are available in various locations throughout downtown. In addition, the parking lot east of the courthouse annex will be reserved for handicapped parking during the parade. An area near the main reviewing stand will also be designated for parade viewing by handicapped guests.
Christmas Alley 3 - 8 p.m. - Entertainment Schedule Located just west of the Livingston County Courthouse on State Street, Christmas Alley is loaded with seasonal refreshments, musical entertainment, cookie decorating, ice sculptures and crafts. Kids, be sure to look for Santa.
Fantasy 5K Run 6 p.m. - Fantasy 5K race application

Fantasy of Lights Parade 7 p.m. Don't miss this traditional start of the Holiday Season in the Howell area! This spectacular nighttime parade includes dozens of illuminated floats, marching bands, over 50 other entries, and of course, Santa Claus.
Snow Court Essay Contest - Snow Court Essay Question
Area students are invited to participate in the Fantasy of Lights Essay Contest for a chance to be part of the Snow Court. Winners in each category will participate in an awards presentation, receive prizes and ride on a float in the parade specially designed for them. Gingerbread House Displays - Gingerbread Entry Form
Enjoy handmade gingerbread houses on display November 23 -24 at 118 W. Grand River Ave., 2 blocks west of the court house. A host of other gingerbread activities will be going on during this time. Houses will be sold via a silent auction following the display. Event benefits St. George Special Ministries.
Parade Route:
Through Howell's Historic District. The parade begins in front of Citizens Insurance on Grand River Avenue at Byron Road, and travels east along Grand River Avenue for 10 blocks, ending at Elm Street. Last year, the parade attracted more than 30,000 people.
