Chamber Programs

No matter what your business or interests, there's a chamber program for you.

  • Good Morning Livingston

These fast-paced and entertaining monthly breakfast meetings feature news and information, plus entertainment and surprises all packed in a one and a half-hour timeframe. GML lets chamber members network, while learning the latest on topics of interest to business and the community.

  • Business After Hours

Business After Hours are informal gatherings held after work hours. Members meet to exchange ideas, network and enjoy refreshments. The chamber hosts a Business After Hours to honor area educators in the fall and one honoring elected officials in the spring.

  • Seminars and workshops

The chamber and its foundation also sponsor seminars and workshops throughout the year to present in-depth programs on topics of current concern. Seminars have included a three-day safety administrator course, automotive industry forums, and workshops on total quality management, nonprofit board improvement and customer service.

  • Business Development Workshops

A Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation program, Business Development Workshops are held monthly at the chamber offices. Conducted by local business professionals including SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) counselors, these workshops offer hands-on help to new and existing business owners.

  • Lunch & Learn

These noontime meetings are held several times a year to provide valuable business information that can be immediately implemented. Topics have included time management, basics of publicity, telephone etiquette, hiring teenagers, credit and collection and violence in the workplace.

  • New Member Welcome

These quarterly meetings are an opportunity for new members to enjoy some light refreshments, meet the chamber staff and learn more about their chamber benefits and programming.

  • Art At Lunch

Relax, have lunch and enjoy the company and original art of Livingston County’s visual masters at Art at Lunch, a networking event held against a backdrop of creativity. The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation features the work of local artists throughout the building. A new artist’s work is displayed every three months. Art at Lunch encourages art in public places. Go back to work inspired, and ready to use art to develop a sense of community.

  • Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year

The Annual Dinner attracts hundreds of chamber members each year. The evening includes very special award presentations, including the prestigious Citizen of the Year Award—a closely-held secret until the winner is announced that evening.

  • ChamberConnect

ChamberConnect is a structured networking event that allows membership to meet and establish valuable business connections in a time-efficient manner. This event runs from 3:45 - 5:00 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. The format includes a guest emcee who guides attendees through introductions and their company overviews. Chamber members then have an opportunity to power mingle. ChamberConnect takes place at a different location each month.
