Chamber Programs

No matter what your business or interests, there's a chamber program for you.

  • Good Morning Livingston

These fast-paced and entertaining monthly breakfast meetings feature news and information, plus entertainment and surprises all packed in a one and a half-hour timeframe. GML lets chamber members network, while learning the latest on topics of interest to business and the community.

  • Lunch & Learn

These noontime meetings are held several times a year to provide valuable business information that can be immediately implemented. Area business professionals and experts offer business development, SafetyNet and human resource topics.

  • ChamberConnect

When it comes to networking, are you making a connection and building relationships, or simply handing out business cards to everyone you meet? ChamberConnect, the chamber’s monthly networking event, was designed to facilitate such meaningful contacts. The program is structured so attendees share stories and personal information as well as exchange business ideas, problems, solutions and contact information. The event kicks off with an icebreaker, so for those who are less comfortable with the networking concept, the often-awkward initial introduction is all but eliminated. This program takes place at a different member location each month and runs from 3:45 - 5 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month.

  • Business After Hours

Business After Hours are informal gatherings held after work. Members meet to exchange ideas, network and enjoy refreshments. The chamber hosts a Business After Hours to honor elected officials in the spring and one honoring area educators in the fall, providing a link between these officials and chamber members.

  • New Member Welcome

These quarterly meetings are an opportunity for new members to get acquainted with the many chamber services, programs and benefits that will help maximize the investment in membership. Members also have the chance to network over light refreshments, meet chamber staff and share information about their business with other new members.

  • Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year

The Annual Dinner attracts hundreds of chamber members each year. The evening includes very special award presentations, including the prestigious Citizen of the Year Award—a closely-held secret until the winner is announced that evening.

  • Art at the Chamber

Enjoy the original art of Livingston County’s visual masters with Art at the Chamber. The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation features the work of local artists throughout the building. A new artist’s work is displayed every three months. Art at the Chamber encourages art in public places. Stop by the chamber to view the collection and leave with a sense of inspiration, and ready to use art to develop a sense of community.

  • Seminars and workshops

The chamber and its foundation also sponsor seminars and workshops throughout the year to present in-depth programs on topics of current concern. Seminars have included a three-day safety administrator course, automotive industry forums, and workshops on total quality management, nonprofit board improvement and customer service.
