Does your business have a camera system? Make our community a safer place by registering your system with the Sheriff Dept.

Livingston County Law Enforcement Agencies would like to introduce a new initiative in our continuing efforts to maintain a safe community. “Capture” is a video surveillance equipment registration program which, with business participation, would assist in solving crimes and promoting public safety in our community. Business owners with privately owned surveillance camera systems would register them by completing the attached form. As any law enforcement agency responds to criminal incidents, we can quickly identify nearby cameras that may have captured criminal activity. Our public safety officers may then request to view your camera footage to assist in the investigation. There is no fee to register a camera system.

It is our hope that this collaboration will help make Livingston County an undesirable place for criminals to commit crime, keeping our community safe.

Any interested business owner in the community wishing to register their camera system may complete the registration form below and return it to Deputy Bill Schuster at BSchuster@livgov.com or by fax (517) 545-9627.
