Drive Out Child Abuse golf scramble set for July 19

LACASA Center’s annual “Drive Out Child Abuse” Golf Scramble is set for Friday, June 19, at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Pinckney.

Registration is available online and golfers will have a chance to win some terrific prizes including a 2015 speed boat, a two-year lease on a new car, and a mega golf cart.

All proceeds from this annual fundraising event help abused and neglected children from Livingston County. Teams are named for a child and play for that child.

Cost of the outing is $75 per player and includes 18-holes-of-golf with cart, goody bag, breakfast, a variety of competitions, and an afternoon awards dinner. The registration deadline is Monday, June 15, 2015.

Morning check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., with a shot-gun start is set for at 9 a.m. A silent auction will be held throughout the day featuring luxury vacation getaways, exclusive golf packages and autographed sports memorabilia.

Golfers may register and pay online at or submit a registration form available at area golf courses or at LACASA Center in Howell. Space is limited to ensure fast play. Early registration is advised.

All proceeds from this event fund LACASA’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program, the agency’s Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Council, and LACASA Center’s Children and Youth Program.
