Enroll your student age 13-17 in the ‘Resident Hack-A-Thon Camp’ at Cleary University

The “Internet of Things (IoT) Resident Hackathon” Camp is for ages 13-17 and will be held at Cleary University from July 22-27th.

Students learn how digitalization is transforming industries such as manufacturing, energy, and smart cars. Using a hands-on approach, they securely interconnect sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, single-board computers, and cloud services over IP networks to create an end-to-end IoT system.

Students will develop interdisciplinary skillsets required to prototype an IoT solution for a specific business case with a focus on the security considerations for emerging technologies. Cost: $650 and includes all housing, transportation during program, meals, all camp supplies, and official IoT camp tee.

On Sunday, the camp will kick off with registration and check-in at the Cleary University campus, a welcome dinner, and an orientation followed by team assignments with some icebreakers. Monday through Thursday, teams will travel each day to the Pinckney Cyber Training Institute and return to the Cleary campus for dinner and evening activities. During the week, the camp will have a trip to a local business to learn about industry applications. On Friday, the camp will conclude with each team giving a “pitch” presentation for their product followed by presentations and awards before checking out of the campus apartments. All transportation and meals are included during the camp.
