Armor Protective Packaging Named for the second time as Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces

For the second year in a row, Armor Protective Packaging® (ARMOR), a Michigan-based company specializing in rust prevention and rust removal products for companies all over the globe, has been named to Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces. The Inc. Magazine 2019 list of Best Workplaces is a recognition of those businesses that have created exceptional workplaces through inviting company culture, deep employee engagement and by offering all-star employee benefits.

“This is a big honor for the entire ARMOR team because building a great workplace doesn’t just happen by accident,” said David Yancho, Vice President and co-owner of ARMOR. “We put a lot of effort into creating an environment where employees can be themselves — where they feel welcome to offer new ideas, provide feedback, and have fun while doing their job.”

Out of thousands of companies across the United States, ARMOR was one of 346 to be honored by Inc. Magazine. Criteria for Inc.’s Best Workplaces included an assessment of each company’s employee benefits as well as the employees’ responses to a unique, 30-question survey. Although the survey was anonymous, ARMOR received a summary report of results and comments provided by its employees.

“It means a lot to be named to Inc. Magazine’s list of Best Workplaces based on input and votes from our own employees,” said Robin McConnell, President, and co-owner of ARMOR. “Forty years ago when ARMOR’s founder John Holden started the company, he set a tone of cooperation, teamwork, and family. The Inc. survey results are confirmation that we are continuing to make that happen.”

When completing the survey, ARMOR employees were asked what one word would best describe their work environment and the number one answer was fun! “We take the business of rust very seriously and we apply that same commitment to the ‘business’ of fun, or what we at ARMOR call auFUNtic,” said Yancho.
