Through enthusiastic Chamber representation, Ambassadors seek opportunities to educate, promote and share the benefits of Chamber membership with the business community.  Serving as an Ambassador offers a great deal of visibility and builds credibility for your own business, while generating stronger relationships for the Chamber in the business community.


  • Educate members about the services and benefits of their membership
  • Foster new member engagement in chamber programs, events and committees
  • Nurture quality relationships
  • Attend ribbon cuttings/grand-openings, New Member Welcome, Networking @ Noon, community events and educational programs
  • Assist with membership development activities and events
  • Meet & greet at Chamber events
  • Welcome new members via phone followed by a visit to drop off welcome bag and give insight into the Chamber
  • Represent the spirit of the Chamber at all chamber events and on social media
  • Foster involvement/engagement within the chamber (events, programs, committees, advocacy etc…for the new member and your mentees
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement of program


  • Official Ambassador name tags
  • Chamber calling cards to be able to leave when utilizing member businesses
  • Opportunities to utilize a 10-13 minute WHMI radio spot to highlight Ambassador Program/yourself within the community/your business (if able)
  • Speaking opportunities at ribbon cuttings/grand openings
  • Introduction at New Member Welcomes-who you are, what you do,share why you are an Ambassador/how has membership benefited you personally and your business
  • Ambassador of the Month picture/bio/video in CA (provided by you-for now), social media and howell.org website
  • Opportunity to meet all new members/opportunity to introduce your business and yourself
  • Member outreach via retention calls/opportunity to introduce yourself and your business
  • Exclusive networking opportunities (i.e. registration desks, greeter, etc.)
  • Introduction at the Annual Dinner
  • Opportunity to participate in Spring/Fall Blitz
  • Recognized as an invaluable leader within the chamber and the community that we serve


  • Prioritize attendance at monthly Ambassador meetings
  • Attendance at ribbon cuttings/grand openings-a minimum of two Ambassadors at each ribbon cutting
  • Attend at least two New Member Welcomes a year (held in Feb, April, June, August, October and December), times rotate between 9-10am and 12-1pm
  • Attend at least four Networking @ Noon (one a quarter)
  • Make monthly membership outreach/retention calls and report back on google sheets notating date/time of calls and any notes from call (usually anywhere between 5 and 10 calls per month)
  • Share your Chamber experience within the community
  • Participation in the ½ day Spring Membership Blitz and Fall Retention Blitz
  • Attend chamber events and programs per your availability
  • Help with member registration at events when needed


If you have been a chamber member for at least one year, are community-minded, interested in driving regional economic prosperity through engagement within the chamber, excited to share the benefits of membership within the community, possess a curious nature for helping others…then serving as an Ambassador may be a great opportunity for you to brand yourself as a leader and resource within our membership.
